John and Fee and the boys arrived at Heathrow at 4.30, 3 hours before the flight took off to Madrid and then Lima.
All were in good spirits. Finn's first words to me at 3.10 that morning were: "I'm going around the world today". Joe was getting excited about a grass bridge in Peru. Fee was suffereing a slight lack of sleep - as our dog Basil had burst in on them during the night.
